Coot Cottage

Coot Cottage is our second holiday let on the Lower Mill Estate.This is a mid-terrace property which was built in 1998 and has been recently redecorated throughout.It is situated on the edge of Somerford Lagoon, the largest lake on the estate, and has amazing views over this stretch of water.

On the ground floor there is a large living area with fully-equipped kitchen, dining table that seats 6, two comfortable sofas (one three seater, one two seater), smart TV, wood burning stove, Bose stereo system and access on to a spacious balcony. This has a dining table for 4, charcoal barbecue and bar stools to really maximise the effect of the fabulous views.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms.  One is a king size bedroom which has an en suite shower room and views of Somerford Lagoon.  The other is a super king size bedroom which can be spilt (on request) to make two 3 foot single beds.  There is a second large bathroom that has a bath with shower over and downstairs there is a separate cloakroom with loo.

The kitchen has a four-ring induction hob, oven with grill, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine.The basics such as salt, pepper and oil are supplied along with cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, washing machine detergent, rubbish bags, etc.

The cottage is situated in a terrace of cottages built in the honey-coloured Cotswold stone in a quiet corner of the Lower Mill Estate.There is a designated parking space opposite the cottage with more spaces available in the overflow car park.There is a bike rack outside and, accessed from the balcony, is a shared jetty on to Somerford Lagoon.

Wifi is available throughout the cottage.

The cottage is suitable for adults, children and dogs though we ask that pets are kept downstairs and off the furniture.  There is a charge of £25 per pet per stay.

There are fabulous wildlife walks from the door through the 550 acre Lower Mill Estate, along the Thames Path and beyond.

Included in the rental is free access to the Mill Village outdoor heated swimming pool, sauna and 3 tennis courts. Canoe, kayak, paddleboard & bike hire can be booked. It is a 5 minute walk from the restaurant, Ballihoo, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and there is also a small shop selling the essentials on a zero waste basis.Please note this property does not come with access to the Spa.

The cottage is supplied with full bed linen and towels for the bathrooms.We also provide sports towels for use in the swimming pool.
